RUSAL Launches 16th Gas Cleaning Unit, Boosting Eco-Friendly Aluminium Production
Novokuznetsk, 17 December 2024 – RUSAL, one of the world’s largest aluminium producers, has commissioned into test operation its sixteenth “dry” gas cleaning unit, SGOU RUSAL. Developed in-house, the system outperforms imported alternatives with superior technical capabilities. It efficiently purifies exhaust gases to meet regulatory standards while recycling captured materials back into production as raw inputs. The construction of gas cleaning units across its aluminium smelters stands as one of RUSAL’s flagship environmental initiatives.
