Moscow, 3 December 2025 – RUSAL, a global leader in aluminium production, has advanced to the second phase in the production of a batch of rolling slabs with a record-low carbon footprint. The figure came to less than 3 t CO2/t of aluminum (Full Scope), which is the company’s lowest ever recorded within its ongoing production operations. These ingots will be delivered to partners for further rolling into strip and manufacturing Russia’s first low-carbon aluminium beverage cans. Building on the successful launch of the initiative in June 2025, this milestone confirms the full industrial-scale operation of the Company’s sustainable manufacturing solutions.

This innovation utilizes mathematical algorithms to analyze acoustic vibrations from mill operations, enabling the optimization of bauxite ore loading, reducing equipment wear, and lowering energy consumption.

Moscow, August 12, 2025 – RUSAL, one of the world’s largest aluminium producers, has achieved stable production of Grade A7 aluminium using inert anode technology. This milestone marks a critical step toward the industrial implementation of this breakthrough process. Unlike conventional methods, inert anode electrolysis emits oxygen instead of carbon dioxide and significantly reduces unwanted impurities in the aluminium.

Sverdlovsk Region, July 25, 2025 — RUSAL, one of the world’s largest aluminium producers, has started producing iron and titanium alloying tablets in the Sverdlovsk Region. This import substitution project will fully satisfy the Russian aluminium industry’s demand for these crucial raw materials, strengthening the technological independence of the domestic industrial sector. Until now, these alloying materials have been imported.

The preparation includes up to 20 operations, and a specially trained neural network monitors compliance with the optimal sequence of operations. The technology using AI reduces the risk of obtaining a low-quality alloy.
