Bauxite Company of Guyana Inc.

Bauxite Company of Guyana is a modern mining complex developing several large deposits of high quality trihydrate and low iron bauxite.

Guyana Bauxite Company was established in December 2004 under an agreement between RUSAL and the Government of Guyana. RUSAL owns 90% of the Company of Bauxite of Guyana, while the Government of Guyana owns 10%.

In 2006, as part of the privatization agreement, RUSAL acquired the assets of Aroaima Mining Company Inc. (AMC), which became the property of the Company of Bauxites of Guyana.

RUSAL holds licenses for the development of bauxite fields in the Linden, Kwakwani and Ituni groups.

At present the facility's operations are frozen.
