Corundum products

RUSAL is one of the world’s major producers of white fused alumina. It is produced by fusing pure alumina in electric arc furnaces at the Boksitogorsk Alumina Refinery.

Due to its ultra-high strength, white fused alumina is used for producing abrasive tools, and because of its resistance to high temperatures and low thermal and electrical conductivity, is in the production of ceramic and refractory products. The range of RUSAL corundum products is represented by various grades of refractory ramming pastes with added coarse fractions, grinding grains, grinding powders and micro grinding powders. These products are shipped to both Russian companies and customers in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, Japan, China and Korea.
