New alloys of 1xxx (AD1E) and 8xxx (ATsE2) series with low scandium content have been developed for electrical cables and bus bars for various industrial applications. Adding scandium to Al-Zr alloys reduces heat treatment time and enhances mechanical properties.
Alloys ATs3 and ATs4 have been specifically developed as cathode foil for lithium-ion batteries. The ultra-thin foil, with enhanced mechanical properties demonstrates excellent conductivity electrochemical stability, as well as processability during calendering.
