Lenovo Founder Mr Chuanzhi Liu To Speak On China’s Manufacturing Growth at UC RUSAL President’s Forum

Plans to switch to gas as main energy source at Aughinish alumina refinery progressing on target
Moscow, 19 March 2014 – UC RUSAL (SEHK: 486; Euronext: RUSAL/RUAL; Moscow Exchange: RUALR/RUALRS), a leading, global aluminium producer, is set to complete a project to switch the Aughinish alumina refinery, Europe’s largest alumina producer, from heavy fuel oil to gas as its main energy source. The two steam generators designed to generate a total of 300 tonnes per hour of reliable, high-pressure superheated steam will replace the existing oil-fired boilers and are scheduled to produce their first steam at the end of May this year. Energy savings are expected to reach up to USD12 per tonne depending on gas and fuel prices.

BVI Court enters judgment on UC RUSAL USD276 million award
<div style="text-align: justify;">Moscow, 29 January 2014 – UC RUSAL (SEHK: 486, Euronext: RUSAL/RUAL, Moscow Exchange: RUALR/RUALRS), a leading, global aluminium producer, announces that the Company’s subsidiary, Hamer Investing Ltd. (“Hamer”), obtained an order dated 28 January 2014 from the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in the High Court of Justice of the British Virgin Islands (“BVI”) entering judgment on an arbitration award issued for approx. USD276 million against Tajik Aluminium Company SUE (“Talco”). The arbitration award relates to two barter agreements for the supply of alumina and other materials to Talco, the aluminium smelter located in Tajikistan formerly known as “TadAZ.”</div>
