UC RUSAL aims to reduce skilled labor scarcity in Guinea by educating 100 local students in Russia’s best universities
Conakry, 26 May 2011 — UC RUSAL (SEHK: 486, EuroNext: RUSAL/RUAL, MICEX: RUALR, RTS: RUAL), the world’s largest aluminium producer, is pleased to announce the launch of a unique education programme the “RUSAL Scholarship-2011”. The RUSAL Scholarship will provide 100 talented young Guineans aged between 18 and 25 the opportunity to be educated in Russia’s best universities. All accommodation, transportation costs and tuition fees will be covered by UC RUSAL.

UC RUSAL announces reductions of production at Sayanogorsk and Khakass aluminium smelters
<P>Moscow, 19 May 2011 – UC RUSAL (SEHK: 486, Euronext: RUSAL/RUAL, MICEX: RUALR, RTS: RUAL), the world’s largest aluminium producer, announces that in connection with the collapse of the railway bridge over Abakan River in Khakas region that was used to deliver, among other freights, raw materials to Sayanogorsk and Khakas aluminium smelters, the Company decided to reduce production at both smelters. The volume of the production reduced is expected to near 20,000 tons that the Company will seek to reallocate to other smelters.</P>
