Moscow, 21 April 2009 – UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, today provides a Q1 update on the impact of its Cost Efficiency Leader programme, aimed at counteracting the consequences of the global economic downturn and increasing the efficiency of the company’s business.

Moscow, 22 March 2009 - UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, and ONEXIM Group are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement on restructuring RUSAL’s USD 2.8 billion debt.

Moscow, 18 March 2009 - Alpart (Alumina Partners of Jamaica), owned 65% by RUSAL and 35% by Hydro Aluminium, has announced that owing to the continuing severe decline in the global aluminum industry and the corresponding reduction of alumina demand worldwide, the company will temporarily suspend operations at its mining and refinery operations in Jamaica for a period no less than 12 months commencing May 15th, 2009. Alumina product has experienced a drastic 60% price reversal since July 2008. Approximately 900 permanent employees will be made redundant.

Moscow, 12 March 2009 – UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, announces the appointment of Mikhail Erenburg as the Executive Director of the Company. Prior to this new appointment, Mr. Erenburg held the post of the Director of the Aluminium Division.

Moscow, 6 March 2009 – UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, today announces that it has signed a standstill agreement in relation to the restructuring of its debt to the international lending banks. The standstill will be effective for a period of two months with the possibility of extension for a further month and will provide RUSAL with additional liquidity.

Moscow, 4 March 2009 – UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, is pleased to announce that ARMENAL, the group’s foil mill located in Armenia, reached its design capacity of 25,000 tonnes.
