Alexey Mitsik has been Appointed Head of HR at RUSAL

Moscow, April 29, 2019 – RUSAL (trading code 486 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, RUAL on the Moscow Exchange), one of the world's largest aluminium producers, announces the appointment of Alexey Mitsik as the Company's Head of HR.
Mr. Mitsik has been working for RUSAL for over 6 years with previous roles including Head of the Compensations, Benefits and Organisational Development Department of the HR Directorate, alongside being a member of the Company's candidate pool. During that time, he oversaw the development and introduction of incentive schemes and social programmes for the Company’s employees, as well as organisational planning and improving the efficiency of all HR management processes. He also managed all the interaction with trade unions through social partnership programmes and the RUSAL Medical Centre.
Natalia Beketova, the former Head of HR, decided to leave the Company after achieving all the goals in her position. During her time, at RUSAL Ms. Beketova focused on expanding the Company’s cooperation with specialised institutes, universities, and vocational schools through a unique programme called ‘New Generation’. This programme was launched in order to find candidates from an external candidate pool which would help over 400 graduates from across the country begin their careers at RUSAL.
In addition to this, major Siberian universities opened branches at the Company’s key production sites, allowing them to more effectively train highly skilled metallurgists in an environment which guaranteed employment opportunities and career progression.

Biography:
Alexey Mitsik graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys in 2001 with two majors: Applied Physics, and Materials and Components of Solid Body Electronics. In 2004, he obtained a degree in Business Economics and Management from the Izhevsk State Technology University. He has a lot of experience in managing companies in a broad range of industries, including auditing, consultancy, oil and petrochemical industries.
