RUSAL receives silver level by global ESG rating EcoVadis

Moscow, December 07, 2021 - RUSAL (SEHK: 486; Moscow Exchange: RUAL), a leading global aluminium producer, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the silver sustainability recognition level from EcoVadis, one of the world’s largest and most trusted business sustainability ratings providers. EcoVadis also provides intelligence and collaborative performance improvement tools for global supply chains.

RUSAL is constantly working to improve its environmental, social and management indicators, introducing sustainable development principles into the activities of all structural divisions and enterprises. This year, the Company was awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal following an independent assessment, which confirms RUSAL's significant progress in improving sustainable development practices compared to the 2020 assessment, when the Company was awarded the bronze medal. The silver medal places RUSAL in the top 25% of the global companies evaluated, and recognizes the Company’s long-standing commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

The EcoVadis methodology makes it possible to determine how effectively the Company has integrated the principles of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility into its business and management system.
