We consider that Alfa-Bank's actions constitute a misguided attempt to destabilise the operations of the company. In should be noted that Alfa-Bank is the only lender that refused to join the standstill agreement which covers RUSAL's debt restructuring process.  Despite the fact that RUSAL and Alfa-Bank have been in negotiations since March, a solution has not yet been found due to the unconstructive position of the bank.

This bankruptcy attempt is destined to fail.  RUSAL clearly states that such actions by Alfa-Bank will not hinder RUSAL from successfully completing its debt restructuring and implementing its plans for the further sustainable development of the company.
