UC RUSAL announces management changes in its Aluminium Division
Moscow, 30 April 2015 – UC RUSAL (SEHK: 486; Euronext: RUSAL/RUAL; Moscow Exchange: RUAL/RUALR), a leading global aluminium producer, announces the appointment of Evgeny Zenkin as Managing Director of the Bratsk Aluminium Smelter (“BrAZ”). Аndrey Volvenkin, who previously held this position, has been promoted to a managerial position within the Aluminium Division.
As Managing Director, Evgeny Zenkin’s focus will be to increase the value-added products’ output and diversification of the product line, product quality improvement, further development of RUSAL’s business-system at BrAZ as well as the implementation of new technologies that will help alleviate environmental impacts.
Evgeny Zenkin has 20 years’ experience in the metallurgy sector. Evgeny started his career at BrAZ, then occupied a managerial position at RUSAL’s Service Centre, heading the Russian Engineering Company Ltd branch in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, which focuses on repairing production capacities and developing new tending vehicles for RUSAL’s operations.
“Following a decade of fruitful work at BrAZ, Evgeny Zenkin has developed from an Employee Appointment Engineer to HR Director. Evgeny Zenkin is familiar with the team, the smelter itself and has a clear vision of BrAZ’s development. As a Managing Director, he will maintain communication with the relevant authorities and employees of BrAZ as RUSAL is an active contributor to the development of the local Bratsk community,” said Evgeny Nikitin, Director of the Aluminium Division at UC RUSAL.
Biography
Evgeny Zenkin graduated from the Siberian State Aerospace University, majoring in Engineering Economy and Management with an ‘Engineer and Economist’ qualification. During 1995-2005 he worked at BrAZ, before becoming HR Director at RUSAL’s Service Centre in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Since 2006 he has headed the ‘Russian Engineering Company Ltd’ branch.
