Moscow, 24 February 2016  – UC RUSAL (SEHK: 486; Euronext: RUSAL/RUAL; Moscow Exchange: RUAL/RUALR), a leading global aluminium producer, is pleased to announce the opening of a new representative office in Seoul, South Korea.

The office will be led by Dong Chan Huh, who has joined RUSAL from Asia Pacific Aluminium Company. Dong Chan Huh brings more than 30 years’ of experience in the Korean aluminium industry in various commercial roles.

Today, RUSAL’s sales account for approximately 15% of all primary aluminium imported to South Korea with the potential for significant growth depending on the Company’s current investments in casting alloy and billet capacity. 

Steve Hodgson, RUSAL’s Director for Sales and Marketing, commented: “South Korea has always been an important and natural market for RUSAL and we are ideally situated to service this region via our eastern Russian ports.” 

RUSAL will continue to work closely with its existing counterparts in South Korea, developing the customer base whilst enhancing our service through the supply chain.
