UC RUSAL voluntarily delists from Euronext Paris

Moscow, 5 April 2018 – UC RUSAL (HKSE: 486, Euronext: RUSAL/RUAL, Moscow Exchange: RUAL), a leading global aluminium producer, announces the voluntary delisting of its Global Depository Shares (“GDS”) from Euronext Paris. This is part of a strategic decision to focus the trading of the Company’s shares on two platforms: the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (“HKEx”) and the Moscow Stock Exchange (“MOEX”).

UC RUSAL listed its Global Depository Shares on Euronext Paris in January 2010 alongside the Company’s IPO on HKEx. The reason for the Company’s GDS listing on Euronext was to provide additional access for the Russia-focused investor base to equity instruments issued through UC RUSAL’s underlying shares listed in Hong Kong. Following this placement, in 2015 UC RUSAL’s ordinary shares were admitted to trading at MOEX. Over time, the GDS listing on Euronext has demonstrated a gradual reduction in trading volumes and market data shows that the majority of trading with UC RUSAL’s instruments is occurring at HKEx and MOEX. UC RUSAL has reached a decision to delist from Euronext to simplify the structure of listed equity and focus on instruments where sufficient liquidity is maintained.

Delisting of UC RUSAL’s GDS from Euronext Paris is expected on 4 May 2018. As part of the delisting the Sales Facility will be organized by CACEIS Corporate Trust, appointed by UC RUSAL as the centralizing agent.
