UC RUSAL and NORINCO sign a contract for aluminium delivery
<EM>World aluminium leader increases sales to China, the world’s key aluminium consumer</EM>
<P>Moscow, 2 November 2009 – UC RUSAL, the world’s largest producer of aluminium and alumina, and China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO), one of China’s largest diversified corporations, are pleased to announce the signing of a contract for aluminium delivery. Under the contract, UC RUSAL will supply 1,680,000 tonnes of its aluminium to NORINCO between 2010 and 2016.</P>

RUSAL announces new executive appointments in its Alumina Division
Moscow, 2 November 2009 – UC RUSAL, the world’s largest producer of aluminium and alumina, has announced the appointment of Andrey Pikhtovnikov, former head of the ‘East’ Production Department of the Alumina Division, as the new managing director of the Achinsk Alumina Complex. Yuri Ovchinnikov, its current managing director, has been appointed the managing director of the Nikolaev Alumina Refinery.

RUSAL announces new executive appointments in its Aluminium Division
Moscow, 27 October 2009 – RUSAL, the world’s largest producer of aluminium and alumina, has announced the appointment of Yuri Moisseev, former managing director of the Nadvoitsy aluminium smelter, as the new managing director of the Bogoslovsk aluminium smelter. Alexander Krasovitski, the current director of RUSAL Production Systems Department at RUSAL Krasnoyarsk is appointed to the position of managing director of the Nadvoitsy smelter, whilst Oleg Burkatski, former managing director of the Bogoslovsk aluminium smelter, will take over from Alexander Krasovitski as the new head of this department at the Krasnoyarsk aluminium smelter.

RUSAL’s comment on the statement of Alfa-Bank Management
Moscow, 23 October 2009 – RUSAL has always fulfilled and will fulfill all its obligations of the credit agreements with Alfa-Bank. We have never refused to pay penalties for the arrear and intend to pay them as soon as they are determined either as part of an amicable settlement agreement or by a court decision.

ARMENAL launches full-scale production of 7-micron foil
Moscow, 2 October 2009 – UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, announces the launch of full-scale production of ultra thin 7-micron foil at its ARMENAL foil mill in Armenia. Between 2007 and 2009 the facility invested over USD 6 million in production development with most of the budget allocated to organise production of thin foils, which are the most popular in the global markets.
