UC RUSAL Statement on Decisions of the Norilsk Nickel Board of Directors
Moscow, 8 July 2008 -  UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer and 25% shareholder in Norilsk Nickel, is issuing the following statement in relation to the results of the first meeting of the new Norilsk Nickel Board of Directors which was held on 7 July 2008.  The decisions made at this meeting demonstrate that the Board is controlled by Interros and does not represent the interests of all shareholders.

UC RUSAL invests more than USD 2 million to find new uses for aluminium
Moscow, 18 June 2008 – UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, has announced plans to invest more than USD 2 million to find the best new applications for aluminium and to develop innovative products. As part of this Global Technology and Innovation Research Project UC RUSAL and the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) are inviting leading universities and research centers from around the world to apply for the funding of innovative research projects.

UC RUSAL successfully tests new environmentally efficient aluminium production technology
Moscow, 10 June, 2008 - UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, is pleased to announce that it has successfully launched test production of the key component of a unique environmentally sound aluminium production technology - colloidal anode paste.  The total investment in this project will amount to USD 25 million.

UC RUSAL and Ust-Luga company sign a memorandum of cooperation to create a trans-shipment complex at Ust-Luga port
Moscow, 8 June 2008 - UC RUSAL, the world's largest aluminium and alumina producer, and Ust-Luga Company, the developer of Ust-Luga trade sea port, signed a memorandum of cooperation to construct a trans-shipment complex. The complex will consist of two terminals designed to transport aluminium and alumina at Ust-Luga trade sea port located in Leningrad oblast. UC RUSAL will invest over USD 300 millions in the project.

UC RUSAL appoints director for control
Moscow, 7 June 2008 – UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, is pleased to announce appointment of Vitaliy Samsonov as Director for Control.  Vitaliy will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the effectiveness of the group’s internal control system and risk management.  Alina Gutkina, who previously occupied this role, has been appointed Director of Internal Audit. She will be responsible for the independent evaluation of the internal control system and report directly to the Board of Directors of UC RUSAL.

UC RUSAL to expand cast-house production at Irkutsk Aluminium Smelter
Moscow, 22 May 2008 – UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, is pleased to announce the investment of around USD 50 million into the expansion of cast-house production at Irkutsk Aluminium Smelter. The expansion is required due to the previous introduction of two new potrooms, which  increased production capacity of the smelter by 170,000 tonnes of aluminium per annum. The new cast-house workshop will be put into full operation at the end of 2008.
