RUSAL invests 7 billion rubles in social infrastructure of Tayozhny
Moscow, 23 March, 2022 — RUSAL (SEHK: 486; Moscow Exchange: RUAL), a leading global aluminium producer, announces the completion of the construction of social infrastructure facilities in the village of Tayozhny, Krasnoyarsk Region: a kindergarten, a school and a clinic. In total, the Company allocated 7 billion rubles for the development of Tayozhny, where the Boguchansk aluminium smelter is located.
RUSAL fulfilled its obligations under the agreement on social and economic cooperation with the Krasnoyarsk region. The Company funded the construction of social infrastructure in Tayozhny: 13 residential buildings for 790 apartments, water purification facilities, two kindergartens for 500 children with swimming pools, a school with a swimming pool and a clinic furnished with modern equipment.
On March 23, the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region Alexander Uss and General Director of RUSAL Evgenii Nikitin visited Tayozhny.
“We are witnessing excellent results of the social development of Tayozhny and the entire Boguchansk district. Many large companies are present in our region, and our mutual collaboration is only possible based on mandatory participation in the social development of the region, for the benefit and well-being of its inhabitants. RUSAL demonstrated great results with this approach. We will further develop the village with communal and transport infrastructure”, said Alexander Uss, Head of Krasnoyarsk Region.
“Tayozhny has changed drastically with the construction of the Boguchansk aluminium smelter. We see our goal both in the development of production and in raising the standard of living in our cities. Quality medical care is an integral part of modern infrastructure, which should be available not only in large cities. We helped with the construction of all necessary facilities on the initial stages of the construction of the Boguchansk aluminium smelter”, said Evgenii Nikitin, General Director of RUSAL.
